A Very Fergie Christmas

Last year, around mid November I was in complete awe of the gorgeous “DD” pages I was seeing all over the www I had no idea what a “DD” was but you bet this curious kid was going to find out! So after a wee bit of searching on pinterest I found that “DD” stands for December Daily and is a concept started by Ali Edwards.  I’ve always admired Ali’s approach to scrapbooking but had never really looked at her blog, and oh boy am I now hooked!

Once I started I found so much inspiration but could i really cram another album onto my ever growing list of albums i want for my family to enjoy for years to come? ahhhh hell yes!! I had a look at several of my favourite PL’ers and joined the December Daily 2013 Facebook page but discovered most were using the Studio Calico kit which I didn’t have and OH.MY.WORD its filled with gorgeousness!! I wanted it but I’ve never been one to embellish my pages. Don’t get me wrong I LOOOOOVE the look but can never pull it off myself.

Once I deceided to go ahead with a December / Christmas album I was on a mission, I raided my scrap supplies (and discovered I have way too much stuff!!) I purchased a few SN@P products from http://www.papertrenz.com.au, I also purchased the Ali Edwards journal cards and overlays from http://www.designerdigitals.com (on a side note if anyone knows how to make it say HERE please let me know!).  After i had my purchases i printed out all the journalling cards, decorated them a little and made a title page.  I knew i would never be able to finish the album off until after the christmas break, life is just too full at that time of year, each night I made sure I journalled about our day and ensured I had a photo for that day (we didn’t “do” a christmas related activity everyday on those days I took photos of around our house).

Now that Christmas is done with for 2013 and I have finally  printed all our photos I’m proud to say I’ve have put the album together.  Below are some of my favourite pages from our album, they aren’t the most glamorous nor are they “pinterest” worthy but they are our christmas memories all in one place and we love them!!

Forgive me about the layout of those photos I’m still learning wordpress! I tried to orate them all but got confused.

So thats it for my 2013 Christmas album and I’m so excited to have it done but even more excited to do this years, yes yes I know it’s only January but it was so much fun!!  now the decision of weather i buy a kit for December 2014 or not remains.

Now thats done and I’m almost finished with PL 2013 that will be my next post.

Until then . . .

K 🙂
